A 25/30 cm Schmidt telescope of the University of Perugia (Italy) was
installed at the Southerland Observatory of South Africa. 68 photographs
were obtained from 1st March to 8th June 1986. Five of them were taken
during the night of the fly-by of the Giotto spacecraft with the comet.
