The galactic microquasar GRO J1655-40 was observed 84 times throughout 1996 and 1997 as part of a monitoring campaign by the Rossi X-ray timing Explorer. During 1997 the source was in the High/soft state until it transitioned into the Low state as it faded below detectability in the last three weeks of the campaign. We report results of the analysis of the data, which indicate that the soft blackbody component, presumably originating in the inner regions of the accretion disk, was slowly eclipsed by a portion of the disk, while the hard x-ray flux was unaffected. This would also imply that the hard x-ray power law flux comes from a larger volume, presumably the hot Compton scattering corona. The temporal/spectral variability will be discussed along with interpretations of this behavior.
