The behaviour of line profiles in the wings of the Balmer, Paschen, and Brackett lines (alpha to delta) has been theoretically investigated in five facular models at disc centre. These profiles have been compared amongst the chosen facular models, and also compared with the photospheric observations. The authors find that these profiles can distinguish amongst different facular models. It is suggested that low-noise high resolution spectra of these lines can help in improving the existing facular models.
