The features of bipolar nebulae associated with several young stars, such as the bipolar nebula S 106, are presented. The bipolar nebulae newly discovered by an optical search are described. Special attention is given to the properties of massive bipolar CO flows, associated with the dark cloud L 1551, the Cepheus A (a compact molecular cloud in the Cep OB3), and the PV Cephei star. The relevance of the properties found in individual objects to the general phenomenon of stellar evolution is discussed.
