We present ultraviolet and optical longslit spectroscopy of the Narrow Line Region (NLR) of NGC 4151 obtained with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS). These data are used to trace the physical conditions and gas kinematics in the inner few hundred parsecs along two slit positions close to the radio jet. We confirm earlier kinematics results from STIS slitless spectroscopy (Hutchings et al., 1998, Kaiser et al., 1999) which are consistent with outflow models for much of the ionized gas. Emission line ratios along the slit are used to determine the temperature, density, reddening and ionization state of the gas.
