We have fitted surface brightness distributions for a large sample of spiral and lenticular galaxies with analytic forms consisting of a deVaucouleurs-law bulge plus an exponential disk. Our disk functions allow an inner truncation of that brightness distribution to be incorporated into the fitting procedure and nearly a third of our sample galaxies show such a truncation. Disk truncations are about four times more common among barred than unbarred galaxies, but we find no other dependence upon morphological type. In the average, truncated systems show larger central disk brightness parameters and somewhat shorter disk scale lengths. We consider mechanisms for removing stars from the inner disk, or for preventing the formation of an inner disk population.
