Erratum. Director W. W. Campbell calls our attention to an error in the Harvard College Circular, as printed on page 523, October POPULAR ASTRONOMY, concerning his observations of the spectrum of Mars on the summit of Mt. Whitney, saying that the conclusions should have read: "Little 'a' water vapor bands estimated equal intensities (in Martian and Innar spectra) and very faint."
An error crept into the telegram after it left San Jose, California. A detailed account of the observations, in press, will be issued soon as a Lick Observatory Bulletin.
