We present the preliminary results on a study of a small sample of γ-ray quiet BL Lacs and flat-spectrum radio quasars. These objects were observed by Swift, whose broad-band spectral capabilities and pointing flexibility are best suited to examine any possible difference and/or similarity between the synchrotron to inverse Compton transition region of γ-ray loud and γ-ray quiet blazars. We present the spectral energy distributions of the sample and compare them with those of γ-ray loud blazars.
