Low-eccentricity orbits for the case of a spherically symmetric potential are studied. The Lindblad approximation concerning nearly circular orbits is treated. It is shown that this approximation is a linear one, i. e. it coincides with the exact formulae when the eccentricity terms exceeding the first order are neglected. For a special case it is found that the eccentricities up to almost 0.3 - 0.4 allow these orbits to be treated as low-eccentricity ones.
