We present aperture synthesis neutral hydrogen observations of a galactic field in Cygnus containing the supernova remnant (SNR) G73.9+0.9 and three known Wolf-Rayet (WR) stars. Contrary to a suggestion by Pineault & Chastenay [MNRAS, 246, 169 (1990)], the SNR is found to consist of only one component. No obvious isolated H I features seem associated with the SNR although large-scale features in H I at about -45 km s-1 show a complementary morphology to that seen in the radio continuum at 1420 MHz. A thick H I shell is seen around the star WR 135 at the same velocity. The kinematic distance corresponding to this LSR velocity is about 10 kpc, however it is argued that this H I gas is probably part of the approaching side of the Cyg OB1 supershell at a distance of between 1.5 and 2 kpc. The star WR 134, known to have an associated optical ring nebula, also has associated radio continuum emission. IRAS data reveal the presence of a stellar wind bubble matching well the optical data, particularly to the west, as well as additional patchy emission seen projected within this bubble. There is evidence for a low-mass H I shell at an LSR velocity of -12 km s-1, partly coincident with the IR wind bubble boundary.
