The radio emission characteristics of the quiescent sun in a wide radio range are investigated on the basis of regular solar observations made with the RATAN-600 radiotelescope during the period of low solar activity (1984). The method of maximum entropy is used to deconvolve the radial brightness distribution from 1D solar scans. The form and sizes of the radio representation of the quiescent sun are investigated, and a brightness temperature spectrum is constructed for the center of the disk. The obtained characteristics are consistent with the data obtained with the Large Pulkovo Radiotelescope and the RATAN-600 and with other large instruments. The analysis is based on a comparison of observed radio characteristics of the the quiescent sun with those calculated for homogeneous models of the unperturbed solar atmosphere.
