Using a fully quantal description of the process, the radiative
association rate coefficient for formation of LiH during
Li++H- collisions is estimated for temperatures
between 50 and 10000K. The rate coefficient is at least five orders of
magnitude larger than that for Li(2s)+H(1s) radiative association.
