We present the results of a sensitive infrared imaging survey of the young cluster IC 348, located in the Perseus Molecular Cloud Complex. Approximately 400 square arcminutes toward IC 348 were surveyed simultaneously at J, H and K using SQIID on the KPNO 1.3 m telescope. A comparable area, off the cluster was also surveyed. As a result, 450 sources having M_K < 14 have been detected. After correction for field stars, we estimate that 350 stars are associated with the cluster. The slope of the K luminosity function for IC 348 is steeper than the slope predicted for main sequence stars but is similar to those found for the young embedded clusters in Orion B (Lada et. al 1991 Ap.J. 371:171). In addition, the K luminosity function of IC 348 appears to turn over at a magnitude of M_K ~ 12.5. Finally, analysis of the JHK colors reveals that ~ 30% of the cluster sources have excess infrared emission, which may indicate the presence of disks around these young stars.
