Detailed analysis of the far-infrared emission of galaxies from the IRAS survey has been hampered by the lack of resolution in the images. Recently, however, the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center (IPAC) has developed a method to dramatically increase the resolution of the maps. With the use of these new HiRes maps it is now possible to analize the far-infrared emission in far greater detail than previously possible. Our analysis of HiRes images of 8 late type edge-on spiral galaxies (Sb - Sd) in the four IRAS Bands (12, 25, 60, 100 microns) has revealed what we believe to be two components to the far-infrared emission: a strong central component associated with the nuclear bulge and a weaker, diffuse component associated with the disk regions of the galaxies. Correlations between the far-infrared and other wavelength regimes, such as X-Ray and Radio, need to consider these two components. We present here spectra of the two components along with cuts along the major axes of the galaxies from which the spectra were derived.
