Research related to astronomical dust is progressing on a wide front. Rather than concentrating on the exciting areas of progress so evident during this conference, I will focus on some areas of concern where our understanding of the cosmic dust phenomenon is far from complete. The ultimate progress in our field will depend on how successful we will be in finding solutions to these issues in the coming years.
