Based on the studies on self-similar black holes in an expanding universe in 1970's, it has been generally accepted that such black holes are not possible. We see our recent analytical and numerical results that self-similar black holes are indeed possible in an accelerating universe with dark energy using a simplest model. We discuss the implication of this result in cosmology. Finally, we also see the possibility of self-similar black holes with quintessence, or scalar field with a flat potential.
