The most detailed kinematic mapping as yet available for any galaxy is presented. In addition to the usual major and minor axis spectra, spectra were taken parallel to both of these axes but offset from the nucleus by distances ranging from 20-40 arcsecs. Velocity and dispersion profiles are compared and the relationship of circular velocity to M/L is analyzed. Comparisons are made with existing models and with elliptical galaxies. It is found that the bulge of NGC 3115 shows sufficient rotation to be nearly consistent with being a rotationally flattened oblate spheroid with isotropic residual velocities. It appears that rotation plays a greater role in supporting bulges than it does in supporting the brighter ellipticals. Good qualitative agreement exists with selected models, although with differences in detail.
