The g(min) values above which plane-parallel approximation should provide satisfactory model atmospheres are computed, in a theoretical study which makes use of the Kurucz et al. (1974) plane-parallel atmosphere tabulations. Corroborative evidence for the high g(min) values arrived at is found in the Labeyrie et al. (1977) speckle interferometry measurement of the Mira star Omicron Ceti's diameter.
