The properties of eleven known and three suspected double-mode Cepheids are reviewed. The relative fraction of double-mode Cepheids in the solar neighborhood is estimated, the masses and radii of the eleven known objects are derived, and it is shown that the masses of double-mode Cepheids increase with increasing periods. Known data on V367 Scuti are summarized, and the evolutionary status of double-mode Cepheids is considered. It is concluded that the existence of these stars requires a substantial modification of the current understanding of pulsation theory, stellar evolution theory, or both.
