Linear interactions of the oblique Alfven and fast magnetosonic waves with the magnetospheric plasma particles are examined. The respective refraction indices have been obtained for sufficiently broad ranges of angles and frequencies. The Cerenkov decrements of wave attenuation on the hot and cold plasma components are presented. The instability in ion-cyclotron resonances is analyzed. The instability regions for the two types of waves have been found, depending on the parameters of the magnetospheric ring current hot plasma (on temperature anisotropy), on frequency, and on propagation angle.
