The possibility of using the Gamma Ray Observatory (GRO) to detect
gamma-rays from the annihilation of weakly interacting massive particles
in lumps of dark matter in the Galaxy is addressed. An expression is
derived for the expected gamma-ray flux from the nearest lump. Possible
candidates for observations by GRO are considered.
