Kinematic data and surface photometry are presented for the dwarf spheroidal galaxy NGC 205. In common with giant elliptical galaxies, this dwarf spheroidal appears to be flattened by velocity dispersion anisotropy rather than by rotation. The velocity dispersion is of order 15 km/s in the nuclear region, which is the site of recent star formation, and increases to 50 km/s in the outer regions. Treating the nuclear component separately from the bulk of the galaxy, mass-to-light ratios in red light of 2.35 in the center, and 9.4 for the bulk of the galaxy are derived.
