Based on results from Auger South, the Pierre Auger Collaboration is planning to construct a northern hemisphere detector that will increase the collecting power of the Pierre Auger Observatory by a factor of 8 to target cosmic rays at the high energy frontier. This will increase the measurement rate above 55 EeV from 25 per year to 200 per year and provide full sky coverage. Auger North will cover 20,000 km2 in southeast Colorado with a sparse surface detector array of water Cherenkov tanks viewed by air fluorescence stations. This presentation will summarize results from Auger South and then discuss the science objectives and design of the planned Auger North instrument.
