MGRO J1908+06 is one of the brightest TeV gamma-ray sources in the Galactic disk. It was originally discovered with Milagro and later confirmed with H.E.S.S. and VERITAS as an extended TeV source. MGRO J1908+06 is an unusual source with a TeV flux comparable to that of the Crab nebula but much weaker X-ray and radio emission. The recent discovery of a nearby GeV gamma-ray pulsar, PSR J1907+06, with the Fermi LAT suggests that MGRO J1908+06 may be an asymmetrical pulsar wind nebula. We have obtained XMM-Newton data for the region near MGRO J1908+06 and PSR J1907+06 and present the results of our search for extended and point-like X-ray counterparts to the gamma-ray sources.
