A calibration will be performed to determine the diode-to-diode variations of the FOS detectors. Three stars will be observed in each reasonable detector-grating combination (a total of 14). The three stars selected are thought to have fairly featureless spectra, with one being particularly good in the ultraviolet, one in the visible, and the third good throughout both regions. The spectra of the three objects, after any stellar features have been extracted, will be averaged to form the pipeline spectral flat field for the FOS. This program has a high priority compared with other SV activities for one object, while the two other objects, used to check consistancy, have a medium priority.
