We report on recent observations by VERITAS of pulsar wind nebulae (PWN) and supernova remnants (SNR). These objects, PWN in particular, comprise the bulk of known galactic TeV gamma-ray emitting objects. Studies at TeV energies are valuable for exploring the underlying energetic particle populations in these systems, especially when combined with data at other wavelengths. We will review a few recent VERITAS detections and discuss their interpretation in the context of different gamma-ray production scenarios.
