One and a half year after its start Fermi has detected pulsed gamma rays from at least 46 pulsars. PSR J2021+4026 is one of them and is the fifth brightest sources in the gamma-ray sky. The pulsar has a period of 265 ms. Its spin-down age is tau=P/2P_dot 7.7 × 104 years, making it a young and powerful pulsar ideally suited to explore the pulsar's high energy emission properties in multi-wavelength studies. PSR J2021+4026 is located inside the supernova remnant G78.2+2.1. NVSS data revealed diffuse radio emission surrounding the pulsar. The pulsar's X-ray counterpart was identified using Chandra. Intriguingly, analyzing XMM-Newton data on it revealed some evidence for flux variability, albeit at low significance. Optical counterpart studies resulted in an upper limit of V 25 mag.
