A numerical exploration was recently conducted to determine critical periodic orbits of the restricted three-body problem for small positive values of the mass ratio, mu. Most of the orbits calculated emanate from one of the critical second-species generating orbits previously identified. The evolution of these critical orbits with mu in the range from zero to about 0.1 is followed, and graphs of the stability boundaries versus mu are presented. The vertical stability index is also determined; in almost all cases, however, the horizontally critical orbits are unstable vertically.
