The Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) is designed to enhance the scientific return from Fermi in studying gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). GBM extends the Fermi spectral coverage by nearly four orders of magnitude below the LAT energy threshold. GBM's field-of-view covers essentially all of the unocculted sky and its independent location capability enables repointing of Fermi to place strong bursts in the LAT field-of-view. In its first year of operation GBM triggered on 253 GRBs. We have produced a comprehensive GRB catalog, including their locations, durations, peak flux, fluence and gross spectral characteristics. Distributions of the parameters are presented and compared with those derived from other instruments, including CGRO/BATSE and Swift/BAT.
