The nature of the observed galaxy-like objects associated with QSO absorption lines is of interest as they trace galaxy evolution from redshifts z greater than 1 down to the present. These objects show higher star-formation rates, separate emission and continuum nuclei, more diffuse morphology, and a higher number density or clustering when compared with z equal 0. Three models for the absorption-line-related objects are presented.
