We have scheduled further simultaneous HST and RXTE observations of the new X-ray transient XTE J1859+226, planned from October 27th 1999 19:26 to October 28th 00:02 UT. Coordinated multi-wavelength observations (simultaneous, near-simultaneous, and following the evolution over days/weeks) would be extremely helpful. If you can observe simultaneously with HST and/or XTE, high time-resolution data (< 10 seconds) will be particularly useful.
