Comets, Magnitude, Orbital Elements, Comet Nuclei, Comet Tails, Kohoutek Comet, Mrkos Comet, Perihelions, Reflectors, Schwassmann-Wachmann Comet

During 1975, the discovery of 13 comets was reported; six of these were
new short-period comets. Five of the new short-period comets were
apparently rendered observable by approaches to Jupiter which caused
significant reductions in their perihelion distances. The total number
of comets under observation during the year was 31.
