The relationship between the equality of the mean escape probability and the mean net radiative bracket is examined for line photons created in an isolated source. The isolated source is identified as the absence of a permeating, external radiation field. It is found that although the values of the quantities may be unequal at individual points of the isolated source, their mean values are identically the same, regardless of the state of the source.
