A pulsar timing observing system operating at 18 cm is developed for the 25 m radio telescope at Urumqi Astronomical Observatory. The de-dispersion is provided by a 2×128×2.5 MHz filter bank and digitizer, operated by a PC data acquisition system. The system is operational by mid-1999 with a room temperature receiver. The lowest pulsar flux density observable is 4 mJy.
