Thermal emission from an interstellar envelope is proposed as the mechanism for radio emission from the G-type supergiant HR 8752 (GOIa). A table of flux densities derived from NRAO (Green Bank) is presented and fit to thermal emission models. If outflow velocity is assumed, mass-loss rates and shell density could be calculated from the data at hand. Temperatures in the 4000 K range are deduced, and deviations from this value may be explained by a time-variable phenomenon.
