Several late-type stars will be observed with the FOS UV gratings. The FOS observations will be compared with HRS Side 1 observations of the same stars made during Cycle 1 and SV. Since HRS Side 1 is insensitive to wavelengths longward of approximately 2000 A., any additional light detected in the FOS observations is attributable to longer-wavelength continuum light scattered off the FOS gratings; the so-called FOS Red Leak.
