An analysis is conducted that is free of assumptions concerning the spatial distribution of galaxies, using only the absence of selection on flux down to its limiting value at each redshift. While the rms error in the Lundmark law prediction for log flux at the observed redshift is noted to be less than the observed dispersion in log flux by about 9 percent, the corresponding rms error in the Hubble law predictions exceeds the observed dispersion by about 4 percent for the cited sample of 2551 galaxies.
