A search has been made for the 1(11) - 1(10) transition of HDCO in the directions of several dark clouds. L 134, which exhibits significant enhancement of several deuterated molecules, was included in this search. Surprisingly, HDCO was not detected in any of the regions surveyed, viz., L 134, L 43, NGC 2264 (offset), and DR 21 (OH). The implications of these observations are discussed.
