We present high resolution (0.02" pixels) maps of the SO2 ice distribution on the surface of Io, Jupiter's volcanic moon. The distribution is inferred from the equivalent width of two near-infrared absorption lines of SO2, at 1.97 and 2.13 microns. The data, taken in June 2006, covers a large fraction of the leading and trailing faces of Io, spanning longitudes from 20W-140W and 190W-310W, from latitudes of -60-+60. They exemplify the ability of ground-based integral field spectrometry to compete with and complement former studies based on Voyager and Galileo spacecraft measurements.
