In this Letter we discuss a method of filtering based on cluster analysis, and percolation for (Delta-T)/T of the cosmic microwave background maps. We show that this method provides unique information about the ionization history of the universe and that this is a realistic way to investigate the Gaussian nature of the microwave background fluctuations.
