The problem of determining whether the Sun's activity is chaotic or not,
is here investigated by determining the behaviour of the Wolf's number
along a non linear forecasting method. It is found that the solar cycle
is governed by deterministic chaos generated by a low dimensional
attractor and a Lyapounov exponent of 0.05(year)^-1^.
