Measures on 52 plates with 155 exposures taken on 32 nights give a value of +0.1905" +/- 0.0075" for the relative parallax and a value of 4.94" +/- 0.45" for the semi-major axis of the absolute orbit of eta Cas A. The latter value gives the mass-ratio 0.605 to 0.395; these figures have a probable error of +/- 0.036. The residuals indicate a perturbation, pointing to an unseen companion of eta Cas A.
