Slow rotations of celestial bodies are considered as degenerate resonant modes of motion. The application of asymptotic methods to these rotations leads to classical problems of the dynamics of rigid bodies, with one point fixed in a conservative force field. It is shown that a celestial body with an internal magnetic field and rotating near another magnetized body has two equally possible modes of orientation: (1) according to the magnetic field lines of the central body, and (2) according to a definite direction, fixed in absolute space.
