The results of observations of Neptunian ring arcs during stellar occulations by Neptune are reviewed. Consideration is given to two models to describe the ring arcs: the ring-arc shepherding model, in which each ring is accompanied by two satellites, and a model with a single satellite and a moon in an orbit inclined with respect to that of the ring particles. The implications of studies of the Neptunian ring arcs for the Voyage 2 mission are examined.
