We have evaluated upper limits on the Hubble modulus anisotropy from the upper limits on the anisotropy of the model provided by observations of the cosmic-microwave background. We obtain for open models a dipole component of about 5% of the values typical in the Rubin-Ford anomaly; in the other cases, the upper limits are lower and never observationally detectable.
