The possibilities of observing interstellar grain from halo formations onboard the EXOSAT satellite are considered. The characteristics of halos and grain properties are outlined. It is shown that halo observations can be performed with the EXOSAT medium energy instrument in the occultation mode, and with the low energy instrument in both the occultation and arbitrary pointing mode.
