Eleven of the 12 eclipses and occultations of Io recorded during the 1991 season involved occultation by Europa, with the sole exception involving Callisto. Differential astrometric positions were derived by fitting photometric observations to a model lightcurve based on the photometric properties of the eclipsed or occulted satellite, in conjunction with satellite apparent motions. While astrometric results are in general agreement with the E-3 ephemeris predictions of Lieske (1991), an 80-milliarcsec longitude residual in the Europa-Io events is much greater than the uncertainty margin, and may be applied to the E-3 ephemeris to address the astrometric calibration requirements of other Europa-Io events.
