Images taken by the Halley Multicolor Camera on board the ESA spacecraft Giotto during its flyby of Comet Halley in March 1986 have been improved by careful calibration and image processing methods. Surface features a few hundred meters in dimension are now visible. Several surface structures are presented in detail and briefly described. These features give the impression of a hilly surface with a coarse roughness at least down to a scale of 0.5 km.
