We made a new separation of the thermal and nonthermal radio continuum emission from M31 at an improved angular resolution of 3 arcmin using the new Effelsberg map at 6 cm and the VLA-Effelsberg map at 20 cm. At the same resolution we separated the emission from warm (40 K) and cold (16 K) dust in M31 using the HIRES maps at 60 micron and 100 micron and the ISO map at 175 micron. We present the maps of these components and the first results of a correlation study of their emissions from the outer disk (30 arcmin < R < 90 arcmin). On a scale of 0.6 kpc x 2.9 kpc significant linear correlations exist between thermal radio and warm dust emission as well as between nonthermal radio and cold dust emission after correction for the general radial decrease. These results are in agreement with those found at 5 arcmin resolution by Hoernes et al. (1998) and confirm the 'magnetic field-gas coupling' model proposed by these authors to explain the correlation between nonthermal radio emission and cold dust in M31.
