The authors report spectroscopic and photometric observations of the SB0 galaxy NGC 6684. From the analysis of the data they find that the bar is shifted 2arcsec to the NW with respect to the nucleus and exhibits a constant velocity dispersion of ≡100 km s-1. Peculiar motions are observed in the bar, but with a symmetry point 4arcsec SE of the nucleus. The inner ring of this system is elliptic (intrinsic axial ratio ≡0.9) and is aligned with the bar. The kinematics of the bulge reveal a triaxial structure, with the maximum of radial velocity expected at 28° from the line of the nodes. The measured (vmax/σ) is quite high, 1.29, similar to that found in some bulges of barred S0 systems.
